Mika M. King, M.D., F.A.C.O.G.
Physician
Dr Mika King is the founding physician of Grace Gynecology and Wellness, APMC. Dr King is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society as well as the Lafayette Parish Medical Society.
Dr King graduated Magna Cum Laude from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge and was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. She received her Medical Degree (M.D.) At LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Florida Health Science Center at Shands Jacksonville.
After returning to Louisiana and enjoying a thriving career at a large group practice for almost 22 years, she changed the scope of her practice to Gynecology only and created her own solo professional medical corporation in January 2022. Dr King loves being able to serve and provide care to the women of Acadiana and develop lifelong relationships with her patients.
Dr King is the proud mother of one daughter and a Goldendoodle. They enjoy spending time with family, traveling, concerts, theater, local festivals, and LSU sports. She also enjoys being active in her church parish of Holy Cross Catholic Church.
Casie Clark
Certified Medical Assistant
Casie Clark is a certified Medical Assistant at Grace Gynecology and Wellness APMC. Casie is a native of Lafayette parish and has received her medical assistant certification from Remington College.
Casie has been Dr. King’s certified Medical Assistant since 2010. She is excited to continue her journey along side Dr. King in the field of Gynecology.
Casie is married to her high school sweetheart, and they have one son, two fur babies and lots of chickens. She enjoys camping and spending time with her friends and family.
Christin Shannon
Certified Medical Assistant
Christin Shannon is a Nationally Registered Clinical Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist. She is a graduate of Blue Cliff College, earning a 4.0 GPA in her studies. She is dual registered through the National Association for Health Professionals.
Christin has worked for Dr. King at Grace Gynecology since March 2022. Christin has a passion for nursing, patient care, and furthering her knowledge and education in the medical field, specifically women’s health. She serves as medical assistant and patient care advocate, as well as an administrative role behind the scenes to include insurance verification for procedures, scheduling appointments, and business office matters.
Residing in Youngsville, this proud law enforcement officers’ wife and mother of 5 spends her free time with her family, traveling, exploring the outdoors, and reading.
Jodi Forstner
Receptionist / Medical Assisstant
Jodi is a native of Lafayette and a graduate of Lafayette High School. She is a certified Medical Assistant and Phlebotomist, graduating from the Acadiana Area Career Center College.
Jodi works as a front desk receptionist and operator for Grace Gynecology. She is the smiling face to greet our patients as she handles check in, check out, patient calls, scheduling, insurance verification, as well as medical assistant duties.
Jodi has worked along side Dr King intermittently since 2007, when she then moved to the Midwest, but has now returned to her hometown of Lafayette. Jodi is excited to be home and working at Grace Gynecology and Wellness, as she loves patient care and women’s health.
Jodi is the proud mother of 2 adult children, and she enjoys gardening, being outdoors, playing tennis, and spending time with family.
Krystal Muller
Medical Receptionist
Krystal joins Grace Gynecology as a medical receptionist. She is from Youngsville, loves her family and the Lord! She enjoys baking, gardening, and being outdoors. She’s eager to greet you and assist you at our office!
Stacy Burkhart
Receptionist/Marketing Assisstant
Stacy Burkhart is a native of St. Landry Parish, she graduated from St. Joseph High School in Plaucheville, Louisiana, in 2003. She continued her education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where she earned a degree in general studies with a concentration in behavioral science. For the past 18 years, Stacy has worked as a medical receptionist.
Stacy works part time as the front desk receptionist, ensuring smooth operations for patients. Additionally, she taps into her creativity as the marketing assistant. Stacy joined Grace Gynecology and Wellness in 2024 and has enjoyed being a part of the team and gaining knowledge in women’s health.
Stacy is married to her high school sweetheart and is a proud mom to two sons. As a host family, they welcomed a German exchange student into their home. Stacy enjoys crafting, traveling, attending concerts, and cheering on her favorite sports teams.
